Best of New England
April 25, 2013 (Harvard Square, Cambridge, Mass.) – On their one year birthday, the World’s Only Curious George Store has been recognized as the “Best Kids’ Books and Toys” by Yankee Magazine’s Travel Guide to New England, on news stands now. This designation is awarded by Yankee’s editors and contributors, who name select restaurants, lodgings, and attractions in New England to the exclusive list. For 37 years, Yankee Magazine’s Travel Guide to New England has been the most widely distributed and best-selling guide to the six-state region, providing readers with a comprehensive vacation-planning tool and daily reference.
“We are thrilled that our team and store received this award and recognition,” stated the store’s independent owner and Boston resident, Adam Hirsch. He added, “As we prepare to celebrate our first year in business this weekend, this is wonderful icing on the cake to have the hard work and dedicated efforts of our talented team recognized by such a prestigious magazine.”
When you visit the Curious George store, you will have an opportunity to purchase exclusive merchandise developed by the store and sold exclusively in the store and on the store’s website. The store’s exclusive Curious George themed merchandise includes t-shirts, mugs, pens, pencils, bibs, and more. In addition to the broadest offering of Curious George books and toys, the store carries a full array of other gift ideas that are not Curious George themed.
“We are committed to continuously updating our merchandise and offering products that are relevant to the community and visitors to the Square,” said Adam Hirsch. “We view ourselves as caretakers of the Curious George brand, where the store and our website act as additional media to inspire children to learn with Curious George.” His wife and co-owner Jamie adds, “Be curious! Stop by, experience the store and share your thoughts with us.”
